Shaw+Smith opens scholarship programme applications
Applications for the second Shaw + Smith Travel Scholarships organised by leading Australian winery Shaw + Smith, are officially open in both Singapore and Hong Kong.
Hong Kong has developed into a dynamic wine hub and demand for wine education is still growing enormously.
This scholarship will give people working in the local wine trade – either in retail or hospitality – experience at one of the world’s top vineyards and allow them to learn more about the Australian wine industry as well as make they will invaluable connections.
The scholarship covers airfare, meals and accommodation. The scholars will spend five nights in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, and two nights in Hobart, Tasmania.
Alan Tse, who was awarded the first Shaw + Smith scholarship last year, said: “It was different to the other winery trips I’ve had. It’s a fantastic programme that allows you to have first-hand experience in the winery and vineyard, with lot’s of tastings.”
Interested applicants should submit their CVs along with a short cover letter (under 200 words) or video explaining why they would like to be selected for the scholarship, and how they believe it would benefit their careers in wine in Asia.
Applications should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org before 30 September.
