Artesian invites global bartenders for takeover series
London cocktail bar Artesian at The Langham hotel is set to host a series of takeover events featuring guests shifts with bartenders from around the world.
Taking place from 18 September until 20 October, the series will see bars including Hope & Sesame in Guangzhou, China; Crown Shy in New York, USA; and Public in Sheffield, UK, take over the London hotel bar for one night each.
During the takeovers, each venue will create an exclusive menu featuring five cocktails from their bar and two cocktails from Artesian’s team.
Anna Sebastian, bar manager at Artesian, said: “I’m really excited about this takeover series. These bars are iconic and venues that I personally admire, so it’s an amazing opportunity for Artesian guests to experience something a bit different here in London for one night only.
“It’s also the 10th anniversary of London Cocktail Week so what better way to mark the occasion than to invite the best of the best to showcase their skills here in London.”
Cocktails at each event will be priced at £14 (US$17), with £1 (US$1.2) from the sale of each drink being donated to industry charity Healthy Hospo.
